2003 Mazda 6 TS review from UK and Ireland
"Unreliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
List is long - it's been in the garage 24 times.
Rusting rear wheel arches - a major problem I am told on all 6's from 52 to 54 reg. Drivers side painted 4 times, and now replaced - other side waiting replacement. Mazda's fix does not work. I have 2 friends at work with the same problem. WATCH OUT.
New speedo at 15K.
Alternator belt tensioner replaced twice. Both went at aprox 15K, bearing noisy.
Computer 20% out - ran out of fuel with 70 miles remaining.
4 sets of alloys - keep rusting.
Front disks warped - replaced.
Caravan club write up states 10% of users have had clutches go at under 40K???
General comments?
Other than my issues. it's a lovely car to drive. Handles well and pulls a 6.5m caravan with no problem.
