2005 Mazda 6 S-Grand Touring review from North America
"FRAGILE"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Blew a cam tower bearing at 9k miles.
Fog light burned out at 10k miles.
Air conditioner blew hot/cold in summer.
4 speakers replaced.
Dashboard rattled.
General comments?
What a pity. I dumped this car with only 15k miles. Being a 6S with the Grand Sport Appearance package, it was no doubt strikingly beautiful and had all the bells and whistles (it better have at $28k).
Unfortunately, with half the warranty gone and all of the repairs done to it, out it went for another vehicle (you know the one with 10/100k). I just couldn't see getting buried in this car once the warranty expired.
What is sadder yet is that a car that originally listed for 28k was after only 20 months fetching between 13-14k for trade in - it didn't matter how few miles or how spotless it was. Maybe these car dealerships know something we consumers just don't - these cars aren't a good risk once they leave the new car lot.
