2005 Mazda 6 Sport Sedan review from North America

"My Mazda6 = Happiness :)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing has gone wrong with the car thus far; I have had it for nearly 3 months :)

General comments?

Oh my goodness, I love my car! I love the way it looks and I love the way it handles.

Pros:

This car is so beautiful! It looks great in every color and is so much fun to drive! Every time someone sees my car, they offer a compliment.

Even at 84,000+ miles, I have never been worried about whether or not my car would start; I have found it to be very reliable. My dad owns a Mazda MPV and we have never had any issues with it, so I was thrilled to get my own Mazda!

I like that the A/C and heat don't take a long time to kick in; it makes for much more pleasant trips.

Additionally, I have noticed that as I accelerate, the volume on the stereo goes up. That's fantastic because I don't have to constantly adjust my volume and settings.

I love having steering wheel control options; I only wish that there was a power button on the steering wheel to turn the radio on and off.

Cons at this point:

The fabric on the seats is not as soft as I had hoped--I'm not sure if it's the cleaning agent they used before I purchased the vehicle or if the seats are simply not that soft. But they are very supportive!

Sometimes the A/C whines, but it is not a consistent, irritating sound; it happens every so often. Also, the vents are hard to direct.

The CD player skips or stops when I hit bumps or holes in the road.

The location of the trunk release is inconvenient; I wish it were on the floor, closer to the gas cap release.

I have tracked my gas consumption at every fill-up since I purchased the car and have consistently gotten from 21-23 mpg, which is just okay. I wish it were a little better. It's a good thing gas prices are going down!

Finally, my car did not come with a remote, so it would be nice to be able unlock the door from the passenger side as well as the driver side.
