1996 Mazda 626 ES review from North America
"An excellent car, if transmission problems don't occur"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission is starting to slip.
General comments?
This car has been passed down to me by my parents when they bought themselves a Hyundai Veracruz. Fortunately my car still has the original transmission and hasn't suffered any problems until now. I guess I could say I am still satisfied with this car since no major problems have occurred up to now. I have to say I am very lucky because I have read numerous reviews and have heard transmissions going out at 40-50 000 miles or approx 60 000 kilometres. All in all it's been a good car and I can't complain since it is an 11 year old car with high mileage. The car is in excellent condition cosmetically. Leather is still intact, paint shines, no rust, sunroof still opens, all power windows work, a/c ice cold, (all electronics work).
Currently I am still debating on whether I should purchase a new mazda3 GT or fix this vehicle up for University.

| It is a nice car that has not required too many repairs, though more than I'd like. |
