1994 Mazda 626 ES review from North America
"Decent car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well I brought the car at an auction and the Torque Converter is Failing, so I am told, It shifts really hard when in traffic going approximately 5 miles per hour. I am told that it is not going into overdrive. I had no idea of mazda's transmission problem until I purchased the car now I'm in the process of finding a used or rebuilt transmission. Shocks and Struts need to be replaced the tires are a bit expensive to replace I brought 2 in december because of wearing due to struts and strut mounts and recently two for the back. I have been told my water pump is going bad and there is something wrong with my distributor Sunroof only tilts it does not open all the way. The windows roll down extremely slow. the interior lights are extremly dim.
General comments?
The interior is in excellent shape. I love the fact that is has dual airbags and 4 wheel anti-lock breaks. The anti theft system on the car for all practical purposes works, although on cold days the automatic locks don't seem to want to cooperate. The Factory speakers are excellent and the heating and air conditioning superb.
