-transmission has gone out three times since 2000. Oh wait that's roughly once a year!
I think that Mazda should do a little bit more qulaity management on their cars, especially dealing with their transmissions. My mom millenia has had transmission trouble, my friends 626 was having transmission trouble, another friends mazda had transmission trouble, and now it's my cars turn. It's a piece of crap.
If you want a car don't feel guilty for paying the extra buck for a toyota or honda. It's worth it. Believe me. You don't want to end up paying 2-3 thousand for a transmission that won't last your car that long. Honda and Toyotas last forever.
My 626 has had similar problems as many that I have read. Has there not been a recall on these yet? It seems like there should have been with all the problems related to manufacturing. Now, I have to find a replacement transmission and that's not the only thing I've had to replace. If anybody knows where to find a cheap functional transmission for a 1997 Mazda 626 4 cylinder, please send me an email at chris.miller@funimation.com and I will review your mail.
