1994 Mazda 626 DX review from North America
"The perfect first car for youngsters"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the distributor at around 159,000 miles.
There was a minor oil leak below one of the spark plugs, I easily repaired that.
Something was wrong with the radiator, the car would over heat. I could not fix it so it cost me $239 to have a mechanic fix it.
General comments?
I love my car.
Despite those problems this car is very reliable. The reason those things happened was because the guy that had it before me neglected the car.
Its not a fast car... but if your like me, and install some after market parts, it's a rocket!
Very comfortable interior, I'm 6'1 and I
fit good in it.
Great Gas mileage, even with the Air intake kit I installed, about 26 mpg on the streets or on a full tank of gas I usually get about 248 miles before I have to refuel.
If your just out of High school and want an older, inexpensive car you can modify, I recommend this one.
Just don't get the 626 LX automatic... I heard those suck.
