1995 Mazda 929 review from North America
"A money pit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cat-alack converter & fuel filter went bad at 39,000 miles. $400.
Blew a rod at 42,000 miles. $2,300.
Radiator got a hole at 43,000 miles. $500.
Sunroof got stuck and stopped working at 46,000 miles. $450.
Engine blew a different rod then the first, so got a newer engine 55,000 miles. $2,900.
Rear window got stuck and won't roll down at 57,000 miles.
Automatic transmission skips gears sometimes.
Muffler system including catalytic converter fell apart.
Wiring harness fell apart and is too expensive to fix at 67,000 miles.
General comments?
Car is a money pit, and since I bought it used at 37,000 miles the dealer did not help at all. Although when I would bring it in to see what was wrong with it, they would say "we see these kind of problems happen all the time in a 929".
Car still looks beatiful from the outside and inside appearance, however, looks are deceiving.
