1986 Mazda B2000 LX review from North America
"The most reliable vehicle you'll ever own"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt broke at 60,000 without damage to the engine.
Clutch first replaced at 90,000.
Master brake cylinder replaced at 130,000.
Head gasket blew at 110,000.
General comments?
I bought this car for $6500 in 88. The best deal I ever made. For 14 years this car has taken better care of me than my wife. It has never let me down!!! It runs and runs and runs even when totally ignored. I still get over 20 mpg in the city. It's a little underpowered, but still as much fun to drive as a jeep if you know what to do. I make $140,000 per year, but would hang on to this baby if I could (my wife needs the money). However, someone just totaled it in a rear end collision. I'll never get what it's truly worth.
