Had to replace universal joints on the rear drive shaft.
Minor, minor leak in the air-conditioning.
I had my Mazda B2000 for 18 years and it had 365,000 on it when I finally gave it to a friend who desperately needed wheels. It is still running now. I looked for a long time to get my B2600i Extra Cab 4X4. Was it worth it? You bet. This is a great truck for around town, on the highway and off road. It is not my primary vehicle so it does not get a lot of use, but when I use it I love it. I was really surprised at the 'get up and go' it has for a '4 banger'. I am getting about 22 miles to the gallon with a mix of in town and highway driving miles which I think is pretty good considering it has the 4X4 running gear. My only hassle with this truck is that when I am out and about in it I have to ward off the folks that want to buy the thing. I think I will have to look after this little truck as I do not want to upgrade to a newer Ford Ranger dressed in Mazda clothing and all the other small trucks are getting beefed up to mid-size. I will continue to enjoy bliss on wheels.
I could have written this review myself. I looked for a long time for a B2600i 4x4 Extra and eventually found one. I gave away a B2000 with 360,000 miles in it to a friend who was desperate for wheels and it is still running now. Have had my B2600 for nearly four years and love it. Changed U-joints on drive shaft and has a very slight leak in the air system. Don't like the beefed up small trucks and do not like the Mazda/Ford/Mazda/whatever that they are making now. Mine is a '91 with 114,000 on it. 'Tis not my primary vehicle so I will have it for years. Bliss on the road.
