2000 Mazda MPV LX review from North America
"Nice van if ford didn't make the engine"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rad had a huge crack in it so I replaced that.
Y connector that connected the rad hose, thermostat hose and water pump hose cracked which let anti-freeze spew all over the engine and left me stranded so it overheated.
Water pump went bad.
The three problems above happened in a matter of 3 weeks.
IAC valve went bad, made infamous foghorn sound
EGR valve went bad at the same time.
General comments?
When the car ran I loved it, all the little traits this van has is great, sliding door windows roll down just like the front windows, 2nd row captains chairs fold down to connect witht the front seats to creat a bed, 3rd row seat folds in floor, and flips back for tailgaiting or drive-ins. nice interior, other than the engine the van is great. That's what you get when you use a ford engine. Although for a mini-van it had good gas mileage.
