2006 Mazda MX5 Grand Touring review from North America
"Beautiful car, but not worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The Bose speakers rattle and vibrate badly.
The latches where the convertible top meets the car rattle and vibrate.
There is a noise in the trunk that sounds like a bowling ball rolling around.
The car has a very rough ride. This could be due to the run flat tires.
General comments?
The new generation of MX5 is beautiful and the car runs and handles well. The exterior styling is sleek and sporty. I got the leather/sport package and the interior feels rich and cozy.
The speakers however are very rattly and noisy. After repeated attempts by the dealership to repair them, they still rattle and vibrate.
The car has had several rattles and noises. After only a few short months, I've had the car in for service 5 times.
