1991 Mazda MX5 review from North America
"Amazingly fun AND reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch cable broke at 122000 miles
battery replaced at about the same time
original soft top started tearing, ended up with torn rear window, full replacement cost 800 dollars.
General comments?
This car was a little dream on wheels. The 1600 engine is tough and fun when revved over 4000 rpm, it is not fast, but fun. Fun due to amazing handling, you can really place this car in a corner and therefor keep up with much more powerful cars. I absolutely loved this one. Well done to Mazda.
