Raer handbrake system jammed on causing the rear brakes to bind. I was going to upgrade them at that time anyway so it wasn't a problem.
In standard trim the car lacks power, but now it's great to drive and will fly though most roads.
Supercharged.
Piggyback ECU.
Uprated fuel pump.
Vented/crossdrilled discs.
Chassis braced.
Lightweight flywheel.
Uprated clutch.
Boot rack.
All this plus a few creature comforts such as electric boot release means the car will do anything and now carries around 200 BHP at the wheels so it now has the kind of power it should have had in the first place.
All this cost around 3K and was fitted by myself in the open air with little more than a Halfords socket set (no, I'm NOT joking). It's a delight to drive and was wonderful to tour round France (you'd be surprised what it can carry).
Can you provide an e-mail address of the guy who sent in this report? I'm interested in the supercharger kit he fitted.
This is an excellent page, could the email address of this person be forwarded to me or if he would like to contact me directly with info on the supercharger setup he fitted.
I have just brought my Eunos. I would also like the email address of the guy who fitted a supercharger???

There's a website with a lot of details about forced induction on MX5s. MX5nutz.com (or something similar) For the record, I'm not their webmaster or anything! I'm looking to do something similar.
