1993 Mazda MX6 LS review from North America
"V6 power with 4 cylinder gas mileage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well lets see first was the clutch started to slip at about 119,000 miles and then finally gave out at 120,000 miles.
Then about 2 days later I let the car run and idle and then it just died.
1 month later Distributor and Clutch were both fixed and the car never had another problem.
Engine almost blew up at 127,000 because I forgot to put the oil cap back on the engine. but quickly put oil in it and then started it back up and just had a little lifter tap in my engine. I was very thankful that it didn't blow up.
No further problems after that.
General comments?
This is honestly the best car I have ever owned and it would probably still be running great as it was before it got impounded. I also felt very safe merging onto the freeway in this car too. I took a lot of road trips in it to california 3 times (5 hour drive). Car was litteraly driven daily to Las Vegas (1 hour drive). car even made it to Utah (8 hour drive) with no problems at all. Even got up to 32 mpg on the highway which is very good for a V6. also 140 mph+ easy. Walked all over Honda civics, Ford Mustang GT, and a Dodge Charger.
