Nothing wrong with this car in particular, as mechanical problems happen in every car you buy. Even a Ferrari ain't an exception to this. Regular service and maintenance on this car will make you fall in love with the MX6.
All the replacements done below are according to the recommended manufacturer's scheduled maintenance.
* Replaced the timing belts at 102,000 miles
* A/C coolant
* Brake rotors and pads
* Rear brake calipers
It's one piece of fine art and design from Mazda. I love this car more than my girlfriend. Super fast for 164HP. Perfect handling, amazing stability in turns.
Pros:
- Awesome handling.
- High performance.
- Highway king.
- Super fuel economy for a V6 sports coupe.
- Smooth transmission.
- Very low engine noise (Sometimes I've got to press the gas to make sure the car is ON when parked.)
- Awesome brakes.
- Amazing stock audio (Polk Audio speakers with Alpine CD player). I have a Pioneer D2000MP
receiver on mine as mp3 is more important for me.
Cons:
- Two person car: The rear seats have less leg room. Well it's accepted coz it's a sports coupe. Get a cargo van if you want to lie down inside your car.
- Shift rod is long for a sports car. But you can always have it custom short if you see that as a problem.
- Don't forget to save money as Mazda parts are expensive.
Overall, this car is a sexy sporty babe you can rely on and travel anywhere with.
Another con I would like to add, is that there is no cup holder for the passenger.
