1995 Mazda MX6 LS review from North America

The car has had several problems since purchase. This may be due to time, or the previous owner's use of the car.

2 New CV boots within a month of each other.

New alternator put in not even a month after purchase. This was expensive to fix, which is expected.

As we speak, my car is in a shop getting a re-built distributor installed for $500+.

New hose controlling antifreeze/coolant use.

The car uses lots of oil, but hopefully the distributor will help this problem.

Engine lights comes on quite frequently due to an electrical problem.

There are other problems which have in all cost me over $2500 since I bought the car in October, 2003.

I do not know if any of these problems are mine, problems due to the age of the car, or problems due to the previous owner (which makes the most sense).

I think I just have bad luck and I wish that I can find a better MX6 after I sell this one because I love driving this car! The speed, handling, and look in such a small, inexpensive package is great.

Everyone where I live has a Honda, and since I'm a car fanatic, I spread the word too many people I know. There are at least 3 at my school now. It's great! The speed compared to a Honda is incredible because people don't expect all the power from a little car like this.

I would recommend this car to everyone! This is my first car, and although I have had terrible luck, I would love to get another MX6, and the RX7 is my next mission...
