1993 Mazda MX6 Coupe review from North America
"Unbelievable handling and reliability for an older car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Automatic transmission went out at 150,000 miles. Started to notice a whinning/hissing sound in motor when car was started and a vibration in the transmission when driving between 35 and 45 mph. Difficult to find a comparable transmission for this car. Rebuilt transmission's run about $1,700.00 and the dealer is asking about $2,300.00. Also caliper in right front suspension going bad. Front of car shifts to the right at 80 mph and accellerating.
General comments?
I have really enjoyed this car. Unbelievable handling on the curves, pleanty of power even at 80 pmh! And stops just as fast as it starts out... under 8 seconds at 80 mph. Unbelievable! A Great performance car. Would not recomend this car for a young driver! Zoom Zoom Zoom!!!
