1993 Mazda MX6 LS review from North America
"Awesome buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Blown motor (my fault).
Handbrake not working.
General comments?
Awesome car.
The stock motor actualyl put up with all the abuse that I gave it. For example - when I race I switch at 7500 every time.
The parts are cheap if you know where to get them, but it's not hard, you just can't be lazy.
The DJM motor was a lot cheaper than buying a Honda motor that's not even from Japan. 950 bucks compared to a b18 GSR motor that's 2500, and that's not DJM LOL.
It rides great, even after dropping it. The car only sits 2 inches off the ground, but the only thing I really don't like about the car is that just about everything in the car like the dashboard is made of plastic, and cheap at that, so it breaks easy. Getting my radio stolen almost wouldn't have happened if it had a harder plastic at least.. LOL
Anyway, the car's fast, I run 13.56 in the 1/4 mile and all I have is the DJM motor, stage 3 clutch and full cat back.
Bought the car for a little over 2700, so it was a good investment. I'm more of a Honda or Nissan fan, but this car does the trick if you don't have a bunch of money to make it fast and look nice.
