1996 Mazda MX6 LS review from North America
"Fun car, too expensive to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear Brake Calipers 120,000
Water Pump/Timing Belt/Plugs & Wires ($1000) 130,000
O2 Sensor ($200) 136,000
Distributer/Crankshaft Sensor ($800) 137,000
Yeah that's $2000 in less than 6 months
Still needs - New clutch, Suspension work (another $2000)
General comments?
Love the car, hate the repairs. Beautiful car, but I have had nothing, but problems with it since I bought it. Can't remember exactly everything I've done, but listed above are the out-of-ordinary things. The rest are just general wear and tear items like brake pads and rotors, tires and the like. I would love to keep it forever because the handling is awesome, but I can't afford to keep bringing it to the shop to get it fixed. I wish I could afford a newer reliable car.
