1994 Mazda Protege DX review from North America
"Reliable and steady performance from a reasonably-priced car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I put between $500 and $2000 a year on the car on everything from tune-ups, seasonal tire changes, and the odd repair.
Twice, I have had to repair brake parts.
Once, I have had to repair suspension parts.
Other than that, no major problems.
General comments?
I love my car! The past couple of years have been getting a bit pricey with repairs (brakes & suspension), but other than that she works like a dream. Smooth ride, predictable performance, reliable. Hardly any rust at all, and I live in snow 5 months of the year. I want to keep this car for another 5 years if possible -- even if I could afford it, I wouldn't trade it in.
