1999 Mazda Protege dx review from North America
"Inexpensive compared to Honda civic"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Changed timing belt at 100,000km
and water pump.
General comments?
The car is reliable for the price I paid $4000.00
the fuel mileage is remarkable over 50mpg on the hwy
The car seems to have some trouble in the winter starting although it was 20 below.
The engine light comes on and off, talked to a mechanic and he said it was not worth looking into. The car runs the same if on or off.
