1983 Mazda RX7 GX review from North America
"What an affordable sports car should be"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmissions mounts are bad, shakes at mid rpm.
Drive shaft seal was leaking.
Replaced wires, cap, and plugs.
General comments?
Very quick for an older car.
Handles like a dream.
Very light weight.
The best $1000 I have ever spent.
All the thrills of a sports car with a low price.
Parts are hard to come by, and expensive.
No power steering is good at higher speeds.
The whole package is sweet, with a fully loaded car.
Mazda should build the RX7 again like the first generation, cheap, fast, low weight, and fun to drive.
