1983 Mazda RX7 GSL review from North America
"Donuts, melted rubber and burning oil"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced; Transmission, carburetor, radiator, ignition, steering pump, master cylinder (brake), slave cylinder (clutch), clutch & flywheel.
Drivers seat isn't on railing properly.
Either of the rear electronics work, wiper & defrost.
Passenger door locks, but handle is broke.
Lock busted (linkage to door) driver side.
Fuel filter is nearly full.
Choke assembly line is broken.
AC pump is out.
No Rear view mirror.
Tape/radio do not work.
Clock resets when lights come on.
3 1/2inch chunk is missing from rear right wheel.
General comments?
Three years of beating a car senseless has cost me 3000 in repairs, everyminute worth it.
The minutes are still counting down.
2nd to 3rd gear in an uphill (cornering) climb, tree cover, windows down.
Heaven on Earth.
Donuts, melted rubber & burning oil.
Smells no Rx7 lover has been without.
Most wonderful car I've ever had the joy of driving.
High maintenance, but worth caring for an rx7.
