1997 Mazda RX7 RS review from Japan
"Overall great car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well first, I lost the turbos, so I dropped in a T04-E, which is running nice along with a Trust intercooler and some other fun parts.
Second, now I'm having some trouble with the clutch. I overhauled the slave cylinder, and the clutch still has a tendency to lose pressure the longer it's pressed. I hope it's not the master cylinder $$$.
General comments?
I just came from an MR2 so it's not any smaller that's for sure. I do have a 7 point roll cage, so it's pretty much a 2 seater. I don't think Mazda had more than 2 people in mind when they built it anyway.
The handling is great, and you've got to love the torque of a rotary engine. Feels like that V-8 from back home...
