"High performance at a high price"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

About 7 months after I got the car I had to get the entire engine rebuilt.

12 months after that I needed a new gearbox (because I rebuilt it with more power then the old box could handle).

I have also needed to replace verious bits like fan belts (all the time), water pumps and brakes.

General comments?

The car was not much chop when I got it, it was a standard 13b with a 4 speed auto, but over time I have replaced bits here and there and in the process it is noe a 5 speed manual 13 turbo and have sorted out most of the problems and it now performs like no other car I have seen.

I'd just like to say that, if you buy a cheap rx7 that's auto and you try to make it a drag no wonder it has cost you a bit. you get what you pay for, I'm sick off people winging when they bought a lemon type rx7 to start with. think about it.

Obviously you don't know anything about RX7s. They're high maintenance... oh I hope you changed the ECU when you turboed it. If not, be prepared for the worst.

Dude... Rotaries aren't as bad as your guys are saying.

There very high maintenance and high running cost. If you are not prepared, then you should not purchase a rotary, because they consume money, engine oil and fuel.

If you are prepared and you like the sound of a having a lawn mower engine, then purchase one like I did :D.

And another thing, Man you should've gotten a series 5 second gen. It's already turbo and 5 speed manual >.<'

But all in all, they're sweet cars, and the sales figure and the bad incantations behind the rotary ultimately hampered the sales of them worldwide.
