1991 Mazda RX7 "Savanna" (Cabriolet) review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far nothing, with the exception of a couple of stone chips and an unwanted pregnancy at traffic lights. It does consume more petrol than I bargained for - it would probably be cheaper to stuff the tank with £5 notes, except over 3800rpm, when £10 notes are required.
General comments?
I am in rotary heaven. All cars should have one. The only drawback to this vehicle is that it never came in my favourite colour, which is British racing green. But I get to see all the green I can handle when I pull up alongside an MX-5.
The secret, by the way, is to avoid putting synthetic oils in them. That's why the guy I bought it from said that you can only get 75,000 miles out of the engine, while in the States they regularly get 150,000+.
Yes, I will be doing all the maintenance on it myself :)
