2005 Mazda RX8 Hi Power 6MT review from Estonia
"Amazing!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox and clutch were replaced at 35k km (under warranty)
Automatic lights height adjuster was replaced under warranty at 25k km.
General comments?
Amazing!
Acceleration isn't that good (around 6.5 sec for 0-100kmph...
It gets a pretty low mpg, especially if you drive it, like its meant to be driven...
But it all doesn't matter, because:
This car is all about handling, it corners unbelievably good, without any noticable under- or over-steer. With few days of track experience you can go and beat lifetime racers with 350Z's in cornering. It handles really gracefully and is quite forgiving on your mistakes.
Thanks to ideal weight distribution, the car is amazing at drifting as well. I've driven a lot of rwd cars beffore (and drifted with most) and I can't believe how natural drifting seems to RX8. You don't have to fight the car to force it in a desired direction, the car seems to respond to your thoughts of changing direction.
