2004 Mazda RX8 High Power review from UK and Ireland
"The car does exactly what it says on the tin"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car yet.
General comments?
The car does exactly what it says on the tin.
To start off with, it is a sports car. The handling is superb, the car feels so well balanced and responsive. It is also very predictable and the D S C intervenes only when absolutely needed.
The interior trim is f high standards. The rear seats are of the "bucket" type, just like the front ones. The ride is firm, but comfortable: the suspensions are compliant and round off road imperfections very nicely, although it is still a firm and sporty ride.
The straight line performance is in line with its class rivals, but the handling on the twisty bits is sensational. This car makes the driver feel very confident.
It is quite practical too, but do not expect saloon level practicality, more like a small hatchback.
