1989 Mercedes-Benz 190 e review from UK and Ireland
"Affordable luxury"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fitted a new clutch at 165,000.
Fitted a new water pump at 100,000.
Fitted a new fuel pump 182,000.
Electric windows have been a problem.
My head gasket blew at 98,000.
The front drivers seat material has worn badly.
General comments?
The ride of this car is immensely smooth.
The engine is built to last, and is not the quickest of the mark, but the smoothest on the highway.
The ride is very quiet.
It is still a stunning car inspite of it age.
The driving position is very good, and you could be fooled to think you were in your living room.
