1991 Mercedes-Benz 190 e review from UK and Ireland
"Perfect, but avoid the rusty ones. loads to choose from"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Check these cars for rust
they are now twenty year old cars
places to check are
inner wings n/s and o/s and behind the water bottle and by the suspension mountings.
The floor can rot at the jacking points.
And also open the boot and look for rust each corner under the rear window rubber seal as this is a difficult repair.
Boot/trunk lid normally allows some water Ingres through the lock and or badges..
General comments?
These are great cars and not as expensive to run as some people believe. insurance is no more than a mondeo.
I have the 2.6 manual which is rather rare most were made in autos for the 2.6 model.
Interior is comfortable place to be on long distance and last well, but expect some wear on the drivers seat bolster (typical).
Brakes are disk all round and vented on the front with ABS, perfect.
