1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Diesel review from North America
"My extended efforts during my prepurchase investigations have undoubtedly paid off!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In the six month duration of owning this vehicle, the only things which I have had to replace are a few light bulbs for the instrument panel cluster, a tail light light bulb, and a halogen headlight lamp.
Although the trip odometer still functions in regards to tracking distance, the numbers are not aligned properly and the unit will not reset.
General comments?
My vehicle rides and handles extremely well.
The diesel fuel makes it quite economical to operate, (approx.$0.05/Km).
The interior has stood up very well considering the age of the vehicle.
The windshield exhibits signs of well traveled vehicle as it is fairly pitted, and unfortunately the wiper cannot clear the rain without streaking as a result.
I genuinely wish it were a five speed, but I will endure the less than ideal performance of this automatic because I find the rest of the package very satisfactory.
