1992 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 300E review from North America
"Bulletproof"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gasket at top cover at front
bolt behind distributor.
General comments?
Absolutely a bulletproof car. purchased the vehicle from an owner who was being mistreated by the dealer - he had replaced many parts, but intermittent stall couldn't be fixed. I discovered the bolt that attaches the distributor rotor was corroded and broken. Replaced it and has been perfect since. Bottom line - great car, but you need to have a trustworthy mechanic.
