2001 Mercedes-Benz M-Class 320 review from North America
"Overpriced for the Lack of Quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Vehicle delivered with high amount of grease on passenger window when lowered.
Hose fitting on Power Steering unit failed at 33,000 miles. Vehicle was inoperable.
Power windows on Passenger and Driver failed to come back up at 35,000 miles.
Rear compartment cover is difficult to operate - cheaply made.
Cup holders are too shallow to hold any size cup without turning over and spilling.
Constant rattles in various spots on the vehicle.
Excessive rear tire noise.
General comments?
This is my second and last ML Class Mercedes.
They need to make these in Germany - the Alabama plant must have lots of problems.
The local dealer service manager has told me there are lots of quality issues with this vehicle.
The transmission sound neat, but is very temperamental.
Rear seating is limited.
My gas mileage dropped 20% from the 98 model.
