2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class 320 review from North America
"Better deals around"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brake fluid sensor would intermittently come on, usually when I was going down hilly terrain. Called dealer who said it was likely a sensor malfunction and advised to keep driving the car to see if light went off. Light would stay off for a few days and then come back on. Every time I scheduled an appointment to have it looked at the problem would go away for a while.
Tires needed to be replaced after 20,000 miles which seemed premature for a vehicle of this stature.
Rubber strip around sunroof came loose, causing the roof to remain partially open. Took two visits to the dealer to resolve.
Heater only seems to blow extremely hot. Dial must be deep in the cool range before the heat eases up. Dealer found sensor was faulty and replaced.
General comments?
Good thing our lease deal came with free service on the car for the first 40,000 miles! Bad thing is we moved and the new dealer is over 2 hours away.
Has been an ordeal arranging for the end of lease inspection as there is only one appointment day per month to have the car reviewed.
Have already replaced the car with a Volvo.
