I replaced the engine this year (2001). The original engine was repaired (minor) in 1998. There have not been any major problems with this car. I usually would have this car serviced every three to four months.
This has been a great car. I plan to have interior and exterior work done on it this year (2001). I notice that the new engine has a different characteristic than my original engine. The new engine has only been in the car approximately 3 months.
Minor engine repair in 1998 and in 2001 you REPLACED it?! Tell me, did the chain break? I own a 1984 380SL.
