General comments?
This is my updated review after a year of owning my SLK230. Having owning this car over a year now. I would say the roof is just super. Open air driving is just a touch of the button. This is a comfortable roadster. Acceleration is good. Handling is very average. Not a real sport car like Porsche boxster. The interior of the dash paint scratch very easily. I have heard that this is Benz manufacture defects. I have the dash repainted professionally. I looks brand new again. The most expensive was to rebuilt the transmission. After it has been done the car is drive brand new. I guess if you are buying a older SLK be prepare to reserve US$2000-US$4000 Cash for repair to bring you car up to top performance . Benz Car quality has been down. My family has been driving Benz for a long times. Seems like the older Benz are more reliable then the new one. If you like open air driving SLK is sure will put a smile on your face every time you open your top. This is a timeless driving machine although the new SLK has already been release the old one still looks great!
