2005 Mercedes-Benz Vito 111CDI review from UK and Ireland
"A cracking van that drives like a car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No major problems in 75000 miles. Heated mirrors stopped heating, fuse replaced by dealer free of charge.
NSF tyre wear within first 10,000 miles was put right by tracking vehicle.
Suspect knock in engine cured by dealer in first service.
General comments?
Very pleased with vehicle from new, after changing from Volkswagen Transporter which was very sluggish.
Amazed by service intervals at nearly 20,000 miles between, and reasonable costs which again scored over and above the Transporter.
I notice since that the seats have been modified in the rear on the new models, which are very much better than the one-piece seat bench in mine, which is quite uncomfortable.
Sound levels are quite loud at high speed, but after using an identical model that the dealer lent me when mine was in for service, I noticed a big improvement in sound deadening.
