1984 Mercedes-Benz W123 300D review from North America
"Tough as krupp steel!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing..nada...zip.
General comments?
I've owned mb since 1998 and this one is a masterpiece. this car had sat up so long it actually had an old wasp nest in the trunk! we charged the battery and the engine sputtered to life. unbelievably this car had no blow by!!! I immediately took the car and had the engine flushed, oil, oil filter changed. new rotors, brake pads, and bearings replaced and that's it. I have driven this car on long trips through the mountains of east tennessee and it driven daily in the hellish traffic of atlanta and the car has not given me a moments trouble!!! now the best part of all.. i paid 700 dollars for the car! the 617 engine is unstoppable.
