"The 560SEL is big, powerful, and fast"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Since I've owned the car,

replaced head gasket at 219,,000.

Replaced power steering at 219,000.

Replaced exhaust system at 219,000.

Replaced interior switches at 219,000.

Repaired heater at 221,000.

Seats need to be rebuilt.

Replaced power antennae.

Transmission is failing at 222,000.

General comments?

No question, the curb appeal is fantastic, still a

head turner. Chrome rims sets off car nicely.

Red leather interior is really nice, but needs to be

rebuilt.

I recommend you ask abut timing chain, head gaskets,

and transmission bef ore you buy.

Sorry to be pedantic, but this car is a W126 (S Class) not a W123.

Yes, the car is a 126 as was pointed out. As of this entry, the transmission has been replaced, and also new suspension, as well as brake work.
