1984 Mercedes-Benz W123 review from North America
"I'll drive it til it dies"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well, this poor girl was neglected. It need tie rods, brake caliper rebuild (front). Fuel filters,
tires, center driveline support, rear subframe mount (rubber rotted front leaky send/return lines, which were replaced as well) brake master cylinder, brake lines, heater core, aftermarket alternator came with the car. Vacuum leaks only God knows where. Motor mounts. still needs motor shocks, gear box, other stuff.
General comments?
This car was mistreated, I'm a firm believer that with proper maintenance, these cars will last a lifetime.
Flush your brake system every year or two, use mercedes approved coolant and change every other year.
She's not pretty, but shes solid, burns little oil,
but I'm sure she'll last me a while, use your block heater when its cold.
