1986 Mercedes-Benz W124 300e review from North America
"Timeless handsome great handling reliable bullet!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
O rings to Air conditioner compressor cost 91usd to fix. Trip Odo VDO stoped 200usd fix. Replaced Becker grand prix with Alpine 300usd. That is about it.
General comments?
This car handles great, stops great, and has good power. Economy is great at 24mpg city. The car will chirp the tires between gears and it pretty quick. I love the straight 6. Best engine ever by mercedes. Bullet proof, quick, and extremely reliable. Seating it great, vision out the front and sides is great, handling is great which means that this car goes where you point it. High speed stability is superb, car is very safe which is typical of mercedes engineering, Trunk space is large and easy to load, Inside the car is large and roomy, Everything about this car is great except the factory grand prix radio. This car has handsome classic German good looks. It is safe, reliable, fast, and handles like a dream. It does not have all the electronic whistles and bells to give you problems as time goes by. Last of the bullet fast performers that can be had for low bucks. You will love this car!!!
