1991 Mercury Colony Park LS review from North America

Only had to replace the spark plugs, the battery, the tires, and changed the fluids on a regular basis.

During the 10 years that my wife and I had owned the car, we really loved it to death. It was a part of our family. We have 9 kids. At the time that we got the car new in 1991, we had 6 kids, and we need a big station wagon. It sure was a big one!!

Ours was white with tan leather seats. Had the 10 passenger seating and the alloy wheels. The roof rack was huge! It had the 5.0 motor, which was pretty powerful, especially for the family road trips. It rode so beautifully on the road that it was like riding on a cloud, even with kids on board.

The interior? Simply big, roomy, and very comfortable. The seats were couch like comfy. As far as the 3rd row seating was concerned, it was great for the kids. Our kids loved it back in the 3rd row seating area.

This was an extremely reliable, yet big station wagon. It was not that good in the snow. Gas mileage? Not too great!

We really miss it big time. Sometimes, our kids talk about us buying one. And yes, we will do just that. If the miles are not that high, and the body looks great, and it runs great, and the price is right, we will buy another one.

So if you like these type of wagons and do not mind the dismal gas mileage, you owe it to yourself to buy one. They are great family wagons for kids of all ages.

Even your dog will like it as well!!

They sure do not make them like this anymore.
