1986 Mercury Cougar LS review from North America
"A car after your heart"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head gasket blew at 188k, so I rebuilt the whole motor. The 3.8L has a reputation for blowing head gaskets, and as for this one at 188k is remarkable.
The only other problem is the wiper motor went a year ago.
General comments?
For any body wanting a Mustang or camaro, but can't afford it should look into this car. It has the comfort, speed
and looks of both. (maby not the speed)
The only draw back, is the handling at high speeds. It tends to get scary at 110mph.
