1999 Mercury Cougar review from North America
"Piece of junk"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The complete racket pinon steering unit had to be replaced. This has been the most expensive dealership doing work was 1348.00.
The brakes malfunctions, only cost me around $2200.00.
The alternator is out, to the tune of 479.50.
Various entake valves have been replaced.
Oil pan gasket leak,, price 184.00.
Manufacturer will not help on any repairs, this car was not even sold with a warranty that should have told me something.
General comments?
For the price this car should be outstanding I have a Mitzibichi Eclipse 130.000 miles and all I had to do are oil changes, and one tune up.
If I ever get out from under this piece of junk I'll never buy American made again. Never ever a Ford product.
