1999 Mercury Cougar Coupe review from North America
"A constant headache"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
none
General comments?
I too have a 99 Cougar and it has been a headache ever since. Though it is a good looking car.
I, like most people with this car, have the same problems. I have even run into people on the street and it is the same story.
I have replaced so many sensors I lost count. Also I have replaced the mass airflow system, alternators, batteries and so on. Every time I get it fixed, the engine light is right back on sometimes, and currently the maintenance light. I have poured so much money into this car.
I also agree with others that Ford should recall this car. I cannot afford another car, so I'm stuck with it for a while.
I feel everyones pain with this car.
