2000 Mercury Grand Marquis LS review from North America
"Not just for the blue-hairs anymore!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brake pedal makes a low squeaky noise when depressed.
General comments?
I needed a decent used car under 12k dollars and under 60k miles. All the Camrys, Accords, Grand Prix models were too pricey (for 50-60,000 miles) or didn't have the amenities that I was looking for. And low and behold, I find this gorgeous 2000 MGM with 27k mile4s for a little over $10,000. Some snowbird elderly woman had it in Florida and hadn't barely used it since 2002. I swear the passenger or rear seats have never been sat in. Just sitting in this beauty makes me feel like I got one hell of a steal!
It is like new, and the comfort is excellent! Leather, everything electric, bigger than I could've imagined... finally a car that I don't have to put the seat all the way back! I have a baby on the way, and who says you have to be 60+ years old to own one of these? My new MGM is the perfect family car... I recommend it for those of you tired of the SUV phenomenon. I live in south Florida, so snow isn't a question... what the hell do I need an SUV for? There is more trunk space than the entire back of my Ford Escape.
I love this car!
