2002 Mercury Mountaineer Premier review from North America
"Junk"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced both wheel bearings (rear).
The A/C condenser.
The "check transmission" is coming up, the O.D. is flashing, the trans is shifting very hard.
Also the front end -- if I turn very sharp, it's as if the 4 wheel drive is locked in, and the car pushes and wants to come to a stop. If I force it, the wheels will squeal as if I'm peeling out at 40mph around a corner when I'm only going 3 mph.
This car is the biggest piece of junk I have ever had. It looks like a million bucks because its the Premier package, but I had a dealer offer me $1,000 tonight. I owe $10,000.
