1998 Mercury Mystique GS review from North America

Nothing since I owned it.

Best car I've had yet, 0-60 in 7.2 Sec. I went up the Harrington mountain with it, and was it ever good on cilimbing those hills. On the bottom of the gearshift theres an overdrive button, and you push that to make the car better in accelaration. The car has 62351 KM on it right now. The warranty is for 120000 KM. I bought it for only 6000 Bucks. In Ottawa they are selling another one for 3995, with 145000 KM. I'm thinking about buying it. Fully loaded: CD player, leather seats, power everything, Air Conditioning, Spoiler, and, 2.5 Duratec Dohc V6. The one I have now is red, but that one is light blue. My old car is a 1987 Mercury Sable GS, the motor blew on the hills going to harrington. We hit 5000 RPM trying to go up a steep hill and bango. Its done. The garage said that it would take around 2000 bucks to get it fixed. We said the hell with it. The cars only worth 50-100 Bucks now. I also have a 1993 Ford Taurus SHO. That's another one of my favorite cars. We took that car to Ottawa and found the Mystique. The same day we looked at the car, we bought it right away. Now I drive it to Montreal every week. My Taurus is starting to go too, so that's why I want to buy another Mystique. On the hills, we made it up that same hill that my old car broke down on, at only 3000 RPM. On the gravel road, we werejust driving along, and suddenly the brake light comes on. So I pull over, and notice that braking is only in the front. The drums were worn out badly. When we were going down the hill, it was around 32 degrees. so I turned on the A/C and notice it's not working. The gas from the compressor melted the rear brake line. So good thing the warranty was on. I got it fixed for free.
