1999 Mercury Villager estate review from North America
"Absolute tops in mini-van market"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There is nothing that went wrong with this vehicle or any of the other 6 villagers I've owned. I have done
the recommended service interval maintenance only.
General comments?
These are great vehicles for the money. I only
wish they had not stopped production of this model.
It did everything, workhorse, kid-hauler, long-range
luxury cruiser. Total BOSS of the soccer-mom/carpool
genre, we could haul 14 people in the air-conditioned
comfort of leather seating, good enough for any car-pool,
since we always owned two of them. Took them ALL over
the US on 5 month extended tours, performed without
a complaint, hihg in the rockies or on the east or west coast beaches. Great vehicles.
